Welcome to KindRiverCare Services

We provide flexible, high‑quality home care for adults of all ages, with a particular focus on older people. Whether you need help with personal care, getting out into the community, or simply having someone to chat to over a cup of tea, our small team is here to support your independence and dignity at home.

More than just a care provider

A small, reliable team focused on what matters to you

Choosing home care is a big decision for you and your family. As a micro‑provider, we deliberately keep our service small so we can really get to know each person we support. Your visits are built around your routines, preferences and goals – not around an inflexible rota. We listen, adapt and review your support regularly so it keeps working for you over time.

Your steps to finding care

Step 1.

Initial conversation

Contact us by phone, email or through our enquiry form. We’ll take some basic details about you or your loved one and discuss what kind of support you’re looking for.

Step 2.

Home visit & assessment

We arrange a convenient time to visit you at home. Together we talk through your daily routine, health, preferences, safety around the home and any support already in place.

Step 3.

Personalised support plan

Using the assessment, we design a clear, written support plan that sets out what we will do, when we will visit and what your goals are – for example, feeling safer with showering, or getting out more to local groups.

Step 4.

Ongoing visits & regular reviews

Your carer starts visiting at the agreed times. We check in regularly – at least every few months, or sooner if things change – to make sure the support still suits you and to make any adjustments needed.

Testimonials

Residents and family members share their experiences

5/5

I have been living here for a few months and I love the friendly staff and residents. We have a lot of activities available and one of my favorite things to do is movie night together.

5/5

My mom moved there two years ago and is very happy there. The staff is pleasant, helpful and caring and they treat him like family. The management does a good job of keeping us informed on matters related to the facility and any impact on residents.

5/5

I am so glad I could move in after several years of living alone and caring for a large house. I have many friends now to talk to and participate in activities with.

5/5

They were the best for us. I wish my loved one had moved there sooner. They have great activities. The care they give to the residents is fantastic. The food was good for our loved one.

Common questions
about senior care

What kind of support do you provide?

We provide personal care, enabling support, medication prompts, companionship, light domestic help, shopping, errands and transport to appointments and community activities. If you need something more specialised, we can help you explore other services alongside our support.

Do your carers give medication?

We offer medication prompts only. That means we remind you to take the right tablets at the right time and can help you record when they’ve been taken. We do not administer or change medication – that remains the responsibility of you, your family and your prescribing professionals.

How long are visits and how often can you come?

In Exeter we usually work in 2‑hour blocks to allow for unhurried, person‑centred support and travel time. In rural areas we offer a minimum of 1‑hour visits. Visits can be once a week, several times a week or daily, depending on your needs and budget.

How much does home care cost?

Our standard rate is £20.00 per hour for domiciliary care. A 20% premium applies on weekends and bank holidays. We’ll always provide a clear breakdown of costs before support begins. Funding may be self‑funded, through the local authority (where eligible) or private insurance.

What happens if my needs change?

We build regular reviews into your support plan and encourage you and your family to give feedback at any time. If your situation or health changes, we will reassess with you and adapt your plan promptly.
